She was born May 9, 1916, in Marion, Iowa, the daughter of Edward T. and Ida (Convey) Forbes. On April 19, 1941, in Marion, she was married to James F. Milder. A resident of WinterGreen in Hudson, she enjoyed traveling, collecting antiques and cooking for family and friends. Surviving are three daughters, JoEllen (Tom) Osterlind of Portland, Ore., Jeanne (Rod) Rogert of Ames, Iowa, and Anne (Bob) Jameson of Fort Worth, Texas; a son, Bill (Connie) Milder of Hudson; and eight grandchildren, Sarah and Kirsten Osterlind, A.J. and Matthew Milder, Bradley, Simone, Mackenzie and Andrea Jameson. Preceding her in death was her husband, Jim Milder, in 1993. Mass of Christian Burial was at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 21, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Lake St. Croix Beach, Minn., with Fr. Ryan Erickson officiating. At the service, organist Jerry Bonstrom accompanied the singing of Linda Mealey Lohman. Burial was in St. Cecelia's Cemetery in Algoma, Iowa. Visitation was from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 20, at the O'Connell Family Funeral Home in Hudson.
