Olson, 81, died Sept. 18, 2002 Lloyd Albert Olson, 81, of Dallas, Texas, and a former resident of Hudson, died Wednesday, Sept. 18, in Dallas. He was born in Hudson Jan. 1, 1921, the son of Oscar H. and Jennie Marie (Olson) Olson. He graduated from Hudson High School in the class of 1939 and did a post graduated course at Hudson High in 1940. During World War II, he served in the U.S. Army from 1941 to 1945. On June 30, 1945, in Indianapolis, Ind., he was married to Anne Tennant. After the war, in 1946, he attended the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music and owned the Olson Piano Company in Indianapolis, Ind. He was a member of the Piano Tuners Guild and upon retiring was presented with an honorary lifetime membership in the organization. He also belonged to the Sons of Norway, Norwegian Society of Texas (Viking Chapter), Bethel Lutheran Church of Hudson, Reformed Presbyterian Church of Indianapolis and New Life Bible Fellowship in Dallas. He had been a resident of Dallas for 20 years and prior to that had lived in Indianapolis for 40 years. For 20 years, in Dallas, he volunteered at the Wycliffe Linguistic Center, keyboarding the Estonian Bible for printing. His hobbies included genealogical research, stamp collecting and music. Preceding him in death were his parents; his brother, Norman O. Olson, in 1996; and his first wife, Anne Tennant Olson. Survivors are his second wife, Ardella Olson of Dallas; a sister, Conni (Mary Ellen Olson) Winter of Indianapolis, three stepchildren, nine step-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren.
