Betterley, 79 Arthur W. Betterley of Ham Lake, Minn., formerly of New Richmond, passed away recently. Art was the inventor of the Betterley Underscribe Router and founder of Art Betterley Enterprises which produces specialized tools marketed internationally. Art was one of the foremost authorities on plastic laminate fabrication and enjoyed a long relationship with the Formica Corporation. Art was preceded in death by his wife Jeanette and brother Byron “Duke” Betterley. He is survived by four sisters, Margaret Evans, Audrey Hellam, Gladys Calvin, Jeanette Cox; one step-daughter, Joy (Charles) Class; one step-son, Jon (Connie) Jerdee; four step-grandchildren; eight step-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Visitation was from 5-7 p.m. Sunday, May 11 at Beebe Mortuary. Graveside service was 11 a.m. Monday, May 12 at New Richmond Cemetery.
