Corcoran, 52 Gregory James Corcoran, 52, of the town of Casey, Washburn County, and formerly of Hudson, died unexpectedly Saturday, Nov. 23, at the Spooner Health System. He was born Dec. 16, 1949, the son of James M. "Corky" and Violet "Dolly" (Schwerm) Corcoran, in Hudson, where he was raised and spent much of his life. He was a graduate of Hudson High School in 1968 and a 30-year employee of the Ford Assembly Plant in St. Paul, retiring in 1998 in the quality control department. On Dec. 1, 1995, he was married in Bloomington, Minn., to Charlene "Char" (Barr) Brousseau, and they resided in Hudson. He was formerly married in 1970 to Virginia Kaye Rothe. Since 1999 he and his wife, Char, have lived in the town of Casey. He was an avid bowler, enjoyed hunting, auto racing and was a Packer fan. Surviving are his wife, Char; three children, Stacy (Les) Mortimer of Amery, Melissa Corcoran and Matthew Corcoran, both of Hudson; a stepson, Jason Brousseau of Eau Claire; two grandchildren, Jeremy and Cody; his father, "Corky" Corcoran of Hudson; a sister, Susan (Craig) Noreen of Hudson; two nieces, a nephew and a grand niece. Preceding him in death were his mother, Violet (Schwerm) Corcoran, in 1999, and his grandparents. Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 27, at the Scalzo Funeral Home in Spooner with Fr. Mike Tupa officiating. Private burial was in the Spooner Cemetery.
