Sylte, 29 June 26, 1973 - June 13, 2003 Dustin J. Sylte was born on June 26, 1973 in Amery. He was the youngest of eight children born to Robert and Delores Ellingsworth Sylte. Dustin grew up in rural Amery and graduated from Amery High School in 1991. He most recently has been employed with Polaris in Osceola. Dustin was a very gifted individual and it was evident in the activities and hobbies that he enjoyed. He was a very talented artist, poet, and also made pottery. He loved music, especially playing his guitar and singing songs. Dustin loved kids and was a caretaker for all of his family, taking extra special care of his mother Delores. On Friday morning, June 13, 2003, Dustin was killed in an automobile accident in Milltown Township. He was preceded in death by his grandparents; father Robert; brother David; and sister Patricia Brandt. He will be deeply missed by his mother Delores; brothers and sisters Sandy Dion, Kathy (Gary) Haley, Dan (Kelly) Sylte, Paul (Jackie) Sylte, and Jackie (Dale) Feyen; nieces; nephews; and many other loving relatives and friends. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, June 18 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Garfield Township, with Pastor Dave Teig officiating. Shirley Ganter and Dixie Teig provided music. Interment was in the East Immanuel Cemetery.
