Hi Kathleen St. Croix County Courthouse is in Hudson Wisconsin in the same building as the courthouse. I-94 to exit 2 go north past golf course until you see it on the left side of the road. Probate and land records will be found there along with birth marriage and death records after 1907. I am more familiar with Polk Co records, so I cannot help here. University of River Falls Library in the basement is Archives room with cemetery listings and tombstone abstractions in most cemeteries in the three county area. Also they have census microfilms of state and Federal census and microfiche of birth, death and marriages before 1907. They have microfilms of the actual birth death and marriage certificates on those found on microfiche. They have many homestead records also, ask the librarian for assistance. They also have many biographies in the card catalogue behind the desk. They also have newspapers on microfilm back to the late 1860s, depending on the newspaper. The library may have new summer hours, so I am including email to the archives librarian so you can contact her. Laptops are OK. [email protected] Keep in mind that River Falls is in two counties. Pierce County records are in Ellsworth. Hope this helps a bit Joy Kathleen Perelli wrote: > I am hopefully planning on coming to the St. Croix, Hudson, River Falls area > on a genealogy trip in the very near future - possibly end of June.
