She was originally from Minneapolis where she attended Washburn High School and the University of Minnesota. Surviving are her husband of 55 years, Wilson Decker; a son, Stephen (Mary) Decker of Cincinnati, Ohio; a daughter, Mary (Paul) Dlugopolski of Athens, Wis.; five grandchildren, Andrew, Matthew and Margot Decker, Brian and Evan Dlugopolski; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Martha Murphy of Edina, Minn., and Mary Ritten of Hudson; two nephews, Dylan McFarland and Kevin Murphy; and a niece, Katie Orterstrom. Preceding her in death were her parents, Richard and Claire McFarland, and a brother, Richard McFarland. Private burial was at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis, Memorials are preferred to the American Heart Association, 795 North Van Buren St., Milwaukee, WI 53202-3808.
