Maske, 85 July 18, 1917 - June 19, 2003 Arthur “Butch” W. Maske of Glenwood City died Thursday, June 19 at Holy Family Hospital in New Richmond. Art was born July 18, 1917 in the Town of Glenwood to Paul and Ella (Zacharias) Maske. Art married Leona Kennetz, March 19, 1949 in Stillwater, Minn. He enjoyed fishing, picking raspberries and gardening. He liked spending time visiting, playing cards and dancing with family and friends. Art is preceded in death by his parents; wife Leona in 1993; infant daughter Linda Sue; son Terry; three sisters, Lucille Koch, Ruth Thorson and Irene Pohl. Art is survived by two sons and three daughters, Gerald Maske of Glenwood City, Tom Maske and fiance’ Mary Beck of New Richmond, Diane (Wayne) Larson of New Richmond, Bev Larson of Hudson, and Mary Maske and friend Mike Olson of New Richmond; six grandchildren, Billie Jo Minke, Jaime Minke, Dan Minke, Nicole Steele, Josh Thull and Chris Dickison; three step-grandchildren, Heather, Will and Samantha Larson; three great-grandchildren, Dylan Minke, Hannah Minke and Dawson Minke; sister Lillie Mae Rozmus; sister-in-law, Hazel Benson; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held Monday June 23 at Holy Cross Lutheran in Glenwood City with Reverend Ralph Thompson officiating. Burial was in the Glenwood City Cemetery.
