He was born in New Richmond and graduated with the class of 1946. He attended the University of Minnesota, where he graduated summa cum laude. He then enlisted in the U. S. Air Force and flew many missions in the Korean War as a fighter pilot. He is survived by his wife, Mary Kay Johnson Frazier; six children, Michael, Mathew, Mark, Patrick, May and Frederick III; and 11 grandchildren. Memorial services were held May 23 at St. Benedict Catholic Church, Fontana. Services were followed by a luncheon at the Abbey Resort. The family suggested memorials to the Visiting Nurse Association of Wisconsin Hospice, 500 Interchange North, Lake Geneva; or Holiday Home Camp, P.O.
