DeWees, 46 Sept. 29, 1956 - June 18, 2003 Jim R. DeWees of River Falls and formerly of New Richmond died Wednesday, June 18 at the Lutheran Home in River Falls. Jim was born on Sept. 29, 1956, the son of James and Betty (Burris) DeWees in Columbus, Ohio. Jim was a truck driver for most of his adult life. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and anything else outdoors. He is survived by his life partner Dorothy Blank; daughter, Erica Downing; grandchildren, Alyssa and Trevin; sister, Mary Davis; uncle, Dick (Marlene) Woerle; and many more relatives and friends. Jim is preceded in death by his parents, and infant twins at birth. A Memorial Visitation will be held on Friday, June 27 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Bakken-Young Funeral Home in Baldwin.
