Marquart, 74 Ardith Alvina Marquart, 74, of rural Markesan died Friday, Aug. 22, at her home. She was born July 20, 1929, in Appleton, the daughter of Lester and Lilly (Thiel) Risenweber. On Oct. 4, 1952, she was married to Marcel Dano Marquart at the Greenville Evangelical United Brethren Church. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Markesan. She enjoyed her flower and vegetable gardens, cooking and baking, singing in the church choir, sewing and cake decorating. Surviving are her husband, Marcel; two daughters, Cheryl Ann (Arthur) Forester and Dawn Marquart, both of Hudson; two grandchildren, Aaron and Jordan Steffen of Hudson; and three sisters, Ardeen Hofberger, Joyce Loos and LaVonne Brock. Preceding her in death were her parents, a sister in infancy, and two brothers-in-law, the Rev. Neil Marquart and Stanley Miller. Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 25, at the United Methodist Church in Markesan with the Rev. Rom Pegram officiating. Burial was in the Kingston Cemetery. A memorial is being established.
