She was born Feb. 7, 1932 at Milwaukee to Frank and Frances (Scharf) Thierfelder. She graduated from high school in Milwaukee. She married Arthur Sachse at West Granville Presbyterian Church in Milwaukee Oct. 24, 1953. Jean was a lifelong homemaker and enjoyed china painting and water color painting. She was preceded in death by son Gary and brother Todd Thierfelder. Jean is survived by husband Arthur; children, Sharon Sachse of Minneapolis, Janet (Dick) Gillis of New Richmond, Laura (Ron) Shiue of Vadnais Heights, Minn., Brian Sachse of Los Angeles, Calif., Christopher (Amy) Sachse of Woodbury, Minn.; grandchildren, Nate and Dawn, Marie and Sean, Robert, Peter, Rani, Mari, Larissa, Isaac, Anna, Ian; great-granddaughter Kelsie; daughter-in-law Tammy Sachse of Hudson; and brother Albert (Arleen) Thierfelder. Funeral services were at 5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 5 at United Methodist Church, New Richmond, with Pastor Alan George officiating. Organist was Joan M. Tubbs and soloist was Mary Anderson. Pallbearers were grandsons Nate Meyer, Robert Gillis, Peter Gillis, grandson-in-law Sean Bosquez, and sons-in-law, Ron Shiue and Dick Gillis. Visitation was three hours prior to service at the church. Interment was private. Memorials may be sent to Hennepin County Medical Center - Cardiac Critical Care Unit or United Methodist Church Memorial Fund of New Richmond.
