Sorensen, 92 Mary A. Sorensen, 92, of North Hudson, and a resident of the Christian Community Home since February, died Thursday, Aug. 28, at Hudson Hospital. She was born Nov. 5, 1910, in Cumberland, the daughter of Joseph and Antonia (Schullo) Zezza, and came as a youngster to North Hudson with her parents. She attended St. Patrick’s Catholic School in Hudson. On Dec. 10, 1936, she was married to Leonard J. Sorensen at St. Patrick’s Catholic Rectory. She and her husband owned and operated Len’s Place in North Hudson from 1952 until his death in 1963. She later cared for her mother until her death in 1970. For many years she was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Hudson. She enjoyed gardening and canning. Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Leonard, in 1963; five brothers, Daniel, Anthony, Thomas, Lawrence “Skeeks,” and Joseph Jr.,; and two sisters, Lucille Bonnes and Madeline Garavalia. Survivors are a daughter, Ethel (James) Larson of North Hudson; two granddaughters, Nancy (David) Ray of Hudson and Mary Jane (Mark) Wang of Hudson; six great-grandchildren, Danielle (Christopher) Ledesma, Casandra (Cory) Peabody, Stephanie, Stacy, Jake and Nick Wang; one great-great grandson, Dakota Peabody; a brother, Louis (Betty) Zezza of North Hudson; and two sisters, Laura Lee of White Bear Lake, Minn., and Ann “Tina” McCunn of Neenah. A Mass of Christian Burial was at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 2, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Hudson with Fr. Peter Szleszinski officiating. Music was provided by the Hope Choir accompanied by Elsie Sandquist. Visitation was one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial was in Willow River Cemetery, where pallbearers were Nancy Ray, David Ray, Mary Jane Wang, Mark Wang, Stephanie Wang, Cory Peabody and Christopher Ledesma.
