Lease. According to his Civil War Records, he request a pension for disability in 1872. At this time he was living in Eau Galle, with the post office in Brookville, St. Croix County, WI. I have checked census records for William with no luck. William was born in 1845 in Illinois, joined the military through Minnesota and was injured in the Battle of Stone Hill in August 1864. When applying for pension, he was working with an attorney by the name of J.S. Moffat in Hudson. I have a document showin he was to report to a Dr. William F. Nichols of Menomonee, WI for an examination on July 17, 1877. Still listing his post office as Brookville, Wi. According to his fathers probate record in August 1900 his whereabouts is unknown. There is no other information on pension in his records. This is pretty much the only information I have on William. If anyone is able to help me, I would really appreciate it. Denise
