Kathleen, I am indexing a book called "Hudson in the Early Days" by Genevieve Cline Day. It has many mentions of the Bowron family, including addresses where the early Bowron family lived. If you don't have that information, please let me know. The book may still be available from the Hudson Star-Observer (see contact information at: http://www.rootsweb.com/~wistcroi/links.htm#Books). If these names sound familiar to you, you will find some good info in the city library in New Richmond: Jane Bowron from Huntingdon, Canada and her sons - William, John Robert, Stanley and daughter Charlotte. The Bowron boys built the first grist mill in Huntington and the second one in St. Croix County. They are written up in a book titled Ox Cart Days at the library, page 20. The library also has an index for finding many, many old obits on microfilm. Jane settled in Huntington, WI, 5 miles from New Richmond, and there is also history at the library about that little town with mention of the Bowrons. Dear St. Croix Researchers, Just wanted to let you know that I have just added the index for the book "Hudson 1900 - 1909, A Rail - River Town" by Glenn C. Schreiber to the St. Croix County WIGenWeb site at: http://www.rootsweb.com/~wistcroi/HudsonBook.htm It is quite an interesting little book, and gives a good glimpse of life in Hudson around the turn of the 20th century. Hope this helps! Roxanne
