Myrtle loved to quilt and sew, and she loved her Circle and Bible studies, and also attending early worship on Sunday mornings. She loved to crochet doilies and afghans and was an avid reader. She loved making craft items and there wasn’t anything she couldn’t build. Her yard was like a park with all of her beautiful flowers. Myrtle is survived by her husband Elton of New Richmond; one son Jerald of New Richmond; one daughter Sylvina (Susie) DuWayne Larson of Star Prairie; 12 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. Myrtle was preceded in death by her parents, Jacob and Selma; first husband, Oscar; three brothers, infant Joseph, infant Joseph and Einar Jacobson; and two sons, Mitchell and Gary. Visitation was at 11 a.m. until the time of the Memorial Service at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 19 at First Lutheran Church in New Richmond, with Pastor Larry Jorstad officiating. Organist was Jeanine Carlson and special music and scripture readings were by her great-grandchildren. Interment of Myrtle’s ashes was a private family gathering in the New Richmond Cemetery. Beebe Mortuary assisted with the arrangements. © 2003 New Richmond News - Reposted by permission http://www.newrichmond-news.com/main.asp?Search=1&ArticleID=6893&SectionID=3&SubSectionID=54&S=1
