This is what I know: Catherine Wisnieski was b. 1898 in Detroit, both her parents had been born in Poland. She married Stephan Okalski/Okalskij/Okalsky probably before 1924. Stephan was b. 15 Jan 1894 in Warsaw Poland. They lived in Hamtramack and had Harry Okalski b. 27 Jan 1924 (my father) and Martin b. Aug 1929. I found some of this on the 1930 Census. The last name was spelled Okalsky or Okalskij. Sometime after that they bought a farm in Richmond, MI. They also had son Daniel and daughters Margaret and Robin. Catherine died about 1963 and Stephan died 1982. Stephan continued to live and work in hamtramack during the week and only went to Richmond on the weekends.
