I have been trying to follow a "hunch" and I am having no luck... On my great-aunt's SS app it lists the father as Stephen Wisniewski, but on my grandmother's it lists Stephen Smith... I cannot find them before 1925 as Smith, but have found various spellings of Wisniewski from 1900 on.. Could there have been a name change and how would I find out?? Thanks
