(The original Polish form of the surname was Grala and it was "Americanized" to Graller shortly upon immigration; it remains as Graller today). Peter and Rose (Stawarz) Graller had at least 6 children, all of whom were baptized at St. Hedwig Catholic Church in Detroit, MI. I am in possession of baptismal certificates of all the Graller children which include the names of the children's godparents. I've been trying to trace those names to determine any family relationships. One of the sons of Peter and Rose (Stawarz) Graller, Ronald Peter Graller, was born on 26 Jan 1933 in Detroit, Wayne Co., MI. He married Viola Marie Dean in about 1957. The godparents at his baptism were Victor Wisniewski and Veronica Nabozniak. Perhaps these two were married and Nabozniak was Veronica's maiden name? Does anyone have a Victor and Veronica (Nabozniak) Wisniewski? Godparents were chosen for a reason and if there is a family relationship between the Grala/Graller's and the Wisniewski's I'd be interested to know of it. Associated surnames through godparent's of the other Graller children are as follows: Koscielny/Kosciebny, Wygonik, Galarowic/Galarowicz, Winiarowski, Michalek, and Stawarz (maiden name of Rose Graller, the mother). If any of the above rings a bell with anyone, please let me know. Stephanie
