I may have missed where this conversation started, so forgive me if I'm completely off the mark. I'm curious as to what you know at all about Sophia Wisniewski? Is this one of the 1927 deaths you're referring to? If so, I have no connection, but Sophia Wisniewski was my g-grandmother's name. (I don't know of any Charles in the family though.) What can you tell me? Trying to research Wladyslaw (Walter) WISNIEWSKI born in 1892 in ??Gdynia?? Poland. He came to NY (year and ship unknown), and eventually married Mary Krawczyk. They lived in Jamaica Queens at some point in the early 1920's. They had three children that I know of, Edward, Jean and Joseph. Don't know when they moved, or where they moved. Mary died in 1961 (place unknown). Walter died in 1977 in California. If anything sounds familiar, or if anyone has any suggestions, please email me. Thanks joanne wisniewski jjjwis@catskill.net

Maybe we can exchange the precious little we have and figure out something. Send me an email at mayaa001@tc.umn.edu if you'd like to try.
evelyn. my husbands side has a few mary wisniewski. we are trying to break them down,as we think we have a few different familys.they all seem to be passing down the same names. my husband said there were alot of them in ill.also. we have frank wisniewski which is husband grandfather.there are alot of them. can't make any connections.
I'm researching my husband's family. His non-biological grandfather was Walt Wisniewski (1913-1987). Walt had siblings named John, Paul, Ann, and one other. Walt married my husband's grandmother in 1980. You can email me at kassidy22@aol.com if you'd like to correspond. Kathy
I have a Mary Wisniewski, b. 19 Feb 1891 in Gorlice, Poland. Her father was Ignatius and her mother Luwica Augustina. They came to IL through PA by 1915. One other surname associated is Adamkiewicz. Does anyone have any info on this line?
Looking for information on the WISNIEWSKI family, who changed their names (or had it changed for them) to VISNESKI(E) in Ontario, Canada. Franek VISNESKI was married to Martha JOLKOWSKA (changed to YOLKOWSKI), lived around Round Lake/Pembroke area of Ontario. Anyone with connections to Ontario WISNIEWSKI/VISNESKI please contact me.
I am searching for info on my Wisniewski ancestors. My great-great-grandmother was Flora Veronica Wisniewska. She was born in Poland/Germany/Prussia in 1874 and married a Thomas OPALEWSKI circa 1890. She had 6 children and lived in Detroit, Michigan from about 1892 until her death in 1914. Flora's death certificate lists her father as "John" and mother as "Dorothy." They must have been born in the mid-1800s. Please contact me if any of this info rings a bell. Thanks.
