    2. My great aunt was named Anna Wisniewski. According to her granddaughter she came through Ellis Island May 30, 1905. The ship manifest lists her as coming with her sister Stefania, and her brother Jan. The were going to Detroit to be with their father Joseph. Anna had an older sister named Catherine (my grandmother) who lived in Milwaukee. Catherine's death notice lists a brother named Stanley but it does not list where he lived. On Anna's marriage record it lists her as being baptized in Lubienko, pow. Krosno, Austria-Galicia. The family's records might be in Piotrowka with the parish being Lubno-Opace. Does any of this sound familiar? Barbara from Milwaukee

    2. ListOwner
    3. Good Evening List, Another year has come and gone. I hope all went well and wish you nothing but the best for 2003. As another year has passed, some of us have found new cousins while others have hit another brickwall, or perhaps just ran into the same one again. : ) Whether you wish to update your WISNIEWSKI info or are trying to knock down that new wall, I encourage everyone to respond to this roll call. If you wish to answer this roll call, please try to adhere to the following guidelines: 1) Try to limit each new message to either one ancestor or one family group. Send your message to Wisniewski-L@rootsweb.com. 2) In the subject, please try to be as specific as possible by including dates, locations &/or names. DO NOT include the words "Roll Call" in the subject; the digest summary limits the number of characters in the subject. 3) In the message, include as much information as possible so that others may be able to make that connection. Info to include can be: names, dates, locations, spouses, parents, and children. Happy Hunting, Kerri Wisniewski-admin@rootsweb.com __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Bride's siblings Dorothy & Edward. Bride's cousins Miss Hedy Kujano & Raymond Krawiecki." Have come across Wisniewski surname perusing St. Michaels Records. Not sure if they were from Russia Poland, but I do that there were folks from Russia Poland in Washington County. Someone from the Washington County list probobly knows whether the Washington County Wisniewski's were from Russia- Poland or Posen. I don't know if KRAWIECKI was ever spelled Krawczyk. Though have found the name spelled many different ways on various census years:) Not yet sure where the KRAWIECKI family was prior to Washington County, Illinois around 1881. Supposedly they came to the U.S. in 1870 and 1871. If the 1900 census information is correct my 3GGM Kate Michalek, husb. Andrew KRAWIECKI had a total of 10 pregnancies with 8 living children in 1900. I have located 3 of them. John, Dionizy Joseph, and Antonina. Mary Jane KRAWIECKI-WISNIESKI is grand-daughter of John KRAWIECKI. I am decended from Dionizy Joseph. (Both are sons of Andrew KRAWIECKI and Kate MICHALEK.) There were some KRAWIECKI's in the LaSalle, Illinois area that I know of but have not yet proofed them. Where area did you find Bolesaw KRAWCZK? Barb
