"Gibby" [Paedke] Handt, age 90, of Larsen, WI, died unexpectedly at his home on Wednesday, April 10, 2002. He was born on September 10, 1911 in Oshkosh, WI, the son of the late Henry and Johanna (Paedke) Handt. He married Mabel Schwandt on November 4, 1936 in Oshkosh and they made their home in Larsen, WI. His wife Mabel preceded him in death on July 27, 1960, He married Norma Maertz Johnson on June 1, 1963 at Grace Lutheran church, Winchester, and they have continued to make their home in Larsen. He is survived by his wife, Norma Handt of Larsen, WI, one daughter and son-in-law, Rochelle (Randall) Heider of Greenville, WI, one step-daughter and step-son-in-law, Carol and John Zitzner of Brookfield, WI, one daughter-in-law, Carol Handt of Appleton, WI, eight grandchildren, Gregg (Holly) Handt of Seymour, WI, Noelle (Jon) Hauser of Appleton, WI, Gary Handt of Appleton, WI, Michael (Patricia) Heider of Oshkosh, WI, Scott (Nicole) Heider of Appleton, WI, Kim (Steph! en) Maertz of Appleton, WI, Todd (Wendy) Heider of Greenville, WI, Tamara (Joel) Schmeltzer of Appleton, WI, one step-granddaughter, Starlene (Clint) Harris of Memphis, TN, fourteen great-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren. Along with his parents and first wife Mabel, he was also preceded in death by one son Robert, five sisters and two brothers.
