Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/2FC.2ACI/1707.1.1.3.1.1.2 Message Board Post: I was just looking at the 1930 census for Cedar Grove and on page 17 near the bottom it lists an Adrian DeSmidt married to an "Annie" who is 56 in 1930 and list Manuel as 25 and Julio as 16. If Anna (TeRonde) DeSmidt died in 1910 which follows true with what I remember my grandmother Naomi saying she died, then is this Annie possibly his second wife?? And if Anna TeRonde died in 1910, Julio would not have been born yet since he was 16 in 1930 making his birth year 1914. I also know that Manuel was listed as "mentally disabled" but in fact he had Epilepsy. My grandmother Naoim send he went to to live at the Sheboygan County Farm where he lived and worked till his time of death. That place became Sheboygan County Comprehensive Heath Center at some point and discontinued the farming operation. I actually got to meet Manuel (Manny) when I was working there in 1974. He was a very intellegent easy-going man. Too bad in those days families were shunned when someone had an untreatable disease and the family member was sent off to the county home and never spoken of again. I never knew he existed until I was introduced to him at work and my Great Uncle. My Dad told me never to bring his name up with relatives. So sad. Julio was his legal guardian.
