Could someone please tell me where is the best place to send for an 1865 Obit? My 4th gr-grandfather, Wilhelm LUBACH, died of disease while serving in the Civil War. He is buried at Jefferson Barracks, Missouri. His wife and children lived in the town of Scott during this time so I'm hoping that an obituary or death notice for Wilhelm may have been printed in the local paper. Thanks, Tina

Tina, It's not a good chance at all to find an obit from that time period. It is extremely hit and miss and most likely the Plymouth newspaper would be the one to check into. Debie
