Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/2FC.2ACI/1786 Message Board Post: OBITUARIES-- THE SHEBOYGAN PRESS- Wednesday, August 17,1927- MIKE FELDMANN AN OLD RESIDENT OF RHINE PASSES- Mike Feldmann, a resident of the county for seventy-four years, passed away at seven o'clock, Tuesday evening at Mt. Sinai hospital, where he had been making his home for some time. Mr. Feldmann was one the eldest settlers of the county. He was born in Darmstadt, Germany, April 12, 1850 and when two years of age was brought over by his parents, who settled in the town of Rhine. That town, Elkhart Lake and Plymouth had been his home until his health became so poor that he went to Mount Sinai hospital, Milwaukee. His wife, who was Miss Theresa Arndt, died in 1907, but five sons, and five daughters, sixteen grandchildren, three sisters, and two brothers survive. The children are Jacob, of Kenmar, N.D., Mrs. Jas. Benton, Elkhart Lake; George, Waldo; Arthur and Mrs. Wm. Hecker, Plymouth; Mrs. Myron Hoffman,Ladysmith; Mrs. Geo. Gretzer, Milwaukee; Walter of Penn., Fred of St. Joe. Calif., and Mrs. I.P.Johnson, Milwaukee. The sisters and brothers are Mrs.Charles Weiskopf, Plymouth; Mrs. A.G. Goldammer, Elkhart Lake; Mrs. Adam Bub, Keil; John Feldmann, Elkhart Lake;and Jocob Feldmann, North Home,Minn. The body was brought to the city yesterday by Undertaker Wittkopp and taken to the home of William Hecker, Krumrey street, when the funeral will be held at two o'clock tomorrow afternoon, Rev. G. Schmid of the Reformed church officiating and interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Mr. Feldmann was one of the best known men in this part of the county, having a wide circle of friends.
