CASCADE MAN RISES TO CHURCH HONORS [No Newspaper Name] [No Date] We take the following from a special dispatch from Santa Fe to the St. Louis Globe Democrat. SANTA FE, N. M., Feb. 15 - At a meeting of the trustees of St. Michael's college, the oldest college west of the Missouri, held at the college building today, Brother Louis was elected president, to succeed the late Brother Botulph. Brother Louis will be succeeded as prefect of the college by Brother Ambrose, as principal by Brother Charles. Brother Louis was born and reared in Wisconsin; taught several years at St. Louis and was president of the college of the Christian Brothers at St. Joseph, Mo. and St. Paul, Minn. He is 44 years of age and came to Santa Fe from St. Louis last September. Brother Louis above mentioned whose lay name is George Crosby was reared at Cascade, Wisconsin and is a son of Patrick Crosby and a brother to Dr. Crosby of this village. He entered the Jesuit order when fifteen years old and became brother at 28 ?. He is thus placed at the head of St. Michael's College one of the oldest in the United States.
