Roland Launer Here Promises of marriage were exchanged on Saturday by Miss Yvonne Lois Zastrow and Cpl. Roland H. Launer. The 3 o'clock double-ring service was read by the Rev. Em. Malkow at St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Zastrow, Route 1, Sheboygan, the bride was given in marriage by her father to the son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Launer, 1629 Mehrtens Ave. Attire of the bride was a white gabardine suit with which she had white accessories, including a hat made of lilies-of-the-valley. Three white orchids were attached to the white satin Bible which the bride held and baby orchids were secured to streamers. The Bible was a gift from the bridegroom. As maid of honor for her sister, Miss Ruth Zastrow donned an aqua gabardine suit with pink and white details. Shaded carnations and stephanotis comprised her bouquet. The bridesmaid, Mrs. Alfred Rogerts Jr., was attired similarly. A brother of the bride, Ronald Zastrow, was the best man and the role of groomsman was assumed by Alfred Rogers Jr. Those who served as ushers were Edward Zastrow and Clarence Launer, brothers of the principals. Soloist for the service was Mrs. Martin Bangert and her numbers were "O Perfect Love," "Take Thou My Hand" and "The Lord's Prayer." Martin Bangert was the organist. Bouquets of gladioli and chrysanthemums, palms and candelabra provided the setting for the service. Thirty guests were entertained at supper at the home of the bride's parents. During the evening, a reception for 500 relatives and friends took place at Croatian Hall, where music for dancing was provided by the Melody Boys. Southern Wisconsin is being visited by the couple during the honeymoon. Central High School was attended by the bride, who is employed at Memorial Hospital. Her husband was graduated from North High School in 1949. Prior to entering service he was employed at Grasse Tire Shop. He was stationed with the field artillery at Fort Sill, Okla., and on March 1 will leave for overseas duty in Germany. His bride will reside at the home of her parents while her husband is overseas. Among the out-of-town guests were Mr. and Mrs. Emil Hansen, Evanston, Ill., Mr. and Mrs. George Lersch, Belgium, Wis., Mrs. Dera Jusover, Milwaukee, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Lemberger, Cato, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Kimmel, Manitowoc, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Lemberger, Gaines, Wis., and others from Valders, Plymouth, Sheboygan Falls, Haven and Oostburg.
