Dear Listers, If there are any of you have access and might be willing and able to do a look up in census records for Sheboyan Co., I would greatly appreciate it. The following is the info on the family in question: Last Name-Gottsacker (FYI-mispelled Cottsacker in later census's in different state) First name of father and mother-Joseph and Catherine They lived there between 1864 and 1877, and had moved on to KS by 1880, so they are not on the 1880 WI census. Possible years might be 1865-1875, depending on whats available. Especially interested in info as to how long they have been in country, occupation, where they were from (possibly Germany-Prussia), and where they were before WI. I know that different census's ask different questions, but this is the first part of my family that has gone back this far, and I have not seen a copy of any census before 1880 yet, so I do not know what treasures it will hold. Will be happy with any tibbit a fellow lister might be able to find. Thank you in advance for consideration of my request. Also, if any fellow lister is researching Gottsackers, I would be glad to share info! Thanks again! Laura Buffington Oregon City, OR buffimladj@aol.com
