Stuemke Otto H. Stuemke, 82, of 813A S. 17th St., died suddenly early today at St. Nicholas Hospital following a short illness. A resident of Sheboygan his entire life, he was born March 22, 1875, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Stuemke, early residents of the community. He attended Immanuel Lutheran School and was baptized and confirmed by the late Rev. William Vollbrecht in Immanuel Church. He was married to the former Emily Bogen of Sheboygan in 1905. She died Jan. 17, 1939. Prior to his retirement, Mr. Stuemke was employed by the City of Sheboygan's streets and sanitation department for 33 years. Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Henry (Clara) Richter, Sheboygan, and Mrs. Clarence (Ruth) Kalk, Milwaukee; two sons, Carl and Ruben, Sheboygan; two grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Gustie Nagel, Mrs. Anna Boege, Mrs. Emma Koepke and Mrs. Lizzie Schultz, and a brother, William, all of Sheboygan. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Steffen Funeral Chapel with the Rev. E. T. Schmidtke, pastor of Immanuel Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will be in Lutheran Cemetery. The body will lie in state at the funeral chapel after 2:30 p.m. Sunday. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Funeral - Sheboygan Press, Tues, Sep 17, 1957, p12 Otto H. Stuemke Funeral services for Otto H. Stuemke, 82, who died early Saturday morning at St. Nicholas Hospital, were held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Steffen Funeral Chapel. The Rev. E. T. Schmidtke of Immanuel Lutheran Church officiated and burial was made in the Lutheran Cemetery. At the services, Ellsworth Sehloff sang two selections, "The Lord's My Shepherd, I'll Not Want" and "What A Friend We Have In Jesus." He was accompanied at the organ by Mrs. Rosalind Truttschel. Pallbearers were Henry Richter, Ben Mc Murray, Larry and Glen Dumonthier, Sal Cincotta and Clarence Kalk. Mr. Stuemke is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Henry (Clara) Richter of Sheboygan and Mrs. Clarence (Ruth) Kalk of Milwaukee; and two sons, Carl and Rueben Steumke, both of Sheboygan. Two grandchildren also survive. He was preceded in death by his wife, four sisters and one brother.
