Deceased was born June 30, 1885, in town of Wilson, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Bogen, and she lived there with her parents until the time of her marriage. She attended the town of Wilson rural school and was confirmed by the Rev. Dorpot, pastor of the Trinity Lutheran church in town of Wilson at that time. She was married to Otto Stuemke on February 1, 1906, by the Rev. Herman Schmitt, pastor of the Trinity Lutheran church of the town of Wilson, and the family moved to Sheboygan where they have resided since. Survivors are her husband; two sons, Carl and Reuben, of Sheboygan; two daughters, Mrs. Henry Richter and Mrs. Clarence Kalk of Sheboygan; one granddaughter; her father, Herman Bogen, of the town of Wilson; one brother, Hugo Bogen, of the town of Wilson; three sisters, Mrs. Louise Beck of town of Wilson, Mrs. Mary Hahn of town of Lima and Mrs. Esther Hensel of Sheboygan. Her mother, one sister and one brother preceded her in death. Funeral services will be held at the Steffen Funeral chapel Friday at 2 p.m. The Rev. Edward Krause of the Immanuel Lutheran church will officiate and interment will be made in the Lutheran cemetery. The body may be viewed at the funeral chapel from this evening at 7 o'clock until the time of the services on Friday. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Funeral - Sheboygan Press, Sat, Jan 21, 1939, p2 Funeral Services For Mrs. Stuemke Held On Friday Funeral services for Mrs. Emilie Stuemke, wife of Otto Stuemke, 815 S. 17th street, who died Tuesday at St. Nicholas hospital, were held at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon at the Steffen Funeral chapel, the Rev. Ed Krause officiating, with interment in Lutheran cemetery. During services at the chapel, the Immanuel mixed quartette, composed of Misses Marian and Ruth Kroll, Roland Schoening and Ray Marquardt, and accompanied at the piano by Paul Rosel, sang "What A Friend We Have In Jesus", "Wenn Mein Studlein Vorhanden Ist", and "Whatever God Ordains Is Good". Pallbearers were Ben McMurray, Elmer Moenning, Otto Koeppe, Glen Du Monthier, Lormier Du Monthier and William Kalk. Many friends and relatives from Michigan, Milwaukee, Cedar Grove, Plymouth, Sheboygan Falls, town of Wilson, Howards Grove and Cleveland attended.
