Hello to All, Recently, I received the following bit of info about the William Ford family. For years, I thought perhaps William was a figment of my imagination because all I had was a small mention of him in his brother Caleb's obituary. My ancestor, Benjamin Ford, who died before Caleb, has no mention of another brother named William. William FORD was born December 22, 1822, and came to Sheboygan County in 1846, locating at Winooski, where he kept a store. In 1847, he was married to Lucrecia MITCHELL. They had four children: Emma, Homer, Milton and Henry. Emma and Homer died in childhood. From the store they moved to a farm known as the Harvey CUMMINGS farm, later called the STEINKE farm, near Cascade. In 1865 they moved to Iowa, then to Missouri and in 1874 to Kansas, locating on a farm north of Hoisington. Milton did not marry until late in life. Henry had eight children: George, Nellie, Asa, Mary, Fred, Harry, Verna and Katie. William died in Kansas and his wife died April 28, 1905. Now, my question is, does any one on the Mitchell or Sheboygan Co., Mailing lists have ANY information on William FORD or his wife, Lucrecia MITCHELL. Thanks in advance, Kay R reitstuf@ticon.net
