He may be a brother or cousin of Anna M. Schumacher. He was a farmer in the town of Herman just north of Howards Grove. His parents were Joseph Schumacher and Elizabeth Eberts. Simon came to America in 1866 with his parents from Worms, Germany. Unfortunately I have no records of his siblings. If you have any further information please contact me.
