I think there must be a connection but I have no hard evidence yet. My Anna M. Schumacher was born in 1857 in the Sheboygan area, as was her husband, Peter H. Jung. The interesting thing you said was that your Simon lived in the area of Herman. I have recently connected with Barb Bednarz whose Gedcom I was able to import because her Silbernagel line included Peter Jung's mother Catherine Silbernagel and her brother Johann Jacob was a resident of Herman (he married Christine Wasserberger in 1850 in Herman.) A few monthes ago I talked with Bruce Rautmann, who mentioned that his family tree includes some 2500 people, and he mentioned Ada village, Herman Township, Sheboygan Co.
