Based on 1900 US Census (Alexandria, Indiana) Andrew and Mary (Dank) Grundler Andrew Grundler was born May 1844 in Germany/Bohemia +1913 in Alexandria, Ind. Mary (Dank) Grundler was born April 1844 in Germany/Bohemia +? They were married about 1870 - Probably in Germany/Bohemia Immigrated to USA about 1885/86 Andrew Grundler *1844 +1913 was a glassmaker. Children: Francis (Daughter) *1885, in Pennsylvania, USA Daughter (Name?) * 1889 in Pennsylvania, USA Wentz (Son) *1881 in Germany/Bohemia Anna (Daughter) *1877 in Germany/Bohemia (Anna (Grundler-Dank) Semmelbauer married Richard Semmelbauer February 7, 1893 Holy Name Parish, Sheboygan, Wisconsin.) Obit for Anna (Grundler) Semmelbauer indicated she came from the Pilzen District of Bohemia. (No records were found in the Pilzen District Archives) Theory: Mary (Dank) Grundler was pregnant with Francis *1885 when they arrived in USA 1885/86. Possibly lived in the East Dear Township, Pittsburgh, PA. (1885/86) to (1889/90) Possibly moved to Sheboygan or Milwaukee, Wisconsin (1890-1896) Possibly moved to East Dear Township, Pittsburgh, PA. (1896) * * Richard S. receives Naturalization papers Feb.18, 1897. (East Dear Township, PA) Family moved to Alexandria, Indiana between (1897-1900) Possibly, the above Grundler family was a member of Holy Name Parish, Sheboygan. Possibly, there was a Sheboygan, Wisconsin City Census (1890-1896) . (The US 1890 Census was destroyed in fire.) Shipping records (1885/86) are being investigated. Any help would be appreciated!
