Hi everyone, I am looking for the exact whereabouts of St. George Catholic Church, Now St. Thomas Aquinas. I looked at a 1878 plat map, and saw a church in the Town of Wilson, about half way down, on the boarder of the Town of Lima. Could this be St. George? Also does anyone know if the old church records from the founding of the church to the early 1900's are available for public veiwing anyplace. Thank you, Bobbi

Hi, I am looking for any information on Theodore Ariens and his wife, Elisabeth Emmers Ariens. In 1880 they were living in Wilson, Sheboygan Co., WI. That is their last known residence. Their son, Henry Ariens moved about 1892 to Brillion, Calumet Co., where he started the Brillion Iron Works and the Ariens Company. Elisabeth's brother and his family also moved to Brillion. We don't know if Theodore and his wife would have moved to Brillion also, or if the rest of the family moved after they died. Someone had said that they thought they seen Theodore's grave in a cemetery in or around Sheboygan Falls. We are looking for death dates and burial spots. Any help about this family would be appreciated. Thank you, Bobbi

Another cousin, Glory Ann (daughter of Minnie's brother, Gustav) is helping with the Family Tree. I believe that she furnished the information that I have on the descentants of Otto & Minnie. I researched the ancestors of Otto Fintelmann. And yes, I have information on the ancestors of Minnie Lemke. Minnie's mother is traced back about 3 or 4 generations. Yes, I have Minnie [Novak] listed as Minnie LaVina Fintelmann. Maybe I need to reverse the names or put Minnie in brackets. Sharon
I am not related to this family---I just posted the info because I looked it up for a friend and it turned out to be the wrong family...I hate to see things go to waste, So I posted it hoping that the "Right" family could find it useful. Consequently, unless a query author includes enough information in their Subject line, their posting will go un-noticed by the vast majority of those with whom they dearly hope to correspond. Here's a suggestion that will help us all (senders and potential receivers). Include the following information in the Subject line each time you post a message: LAST NAME (all caps), First Name (capitalize first letter only), Location (including a county & state if known), Date (a specific date, birth-death range or "circa" date) and Topic (like Birth Record, Obituary, Immigrated, Marriage Look-up, etc.). To assist researchers later as they search through older posted messages it also helps if you repeat your surname(s) (including spelling variations) and the location(s) a precisely as possible in the Text section of your message, so that researcher's search terms point them to your messages. Finally, there is always the problem of "orphaned messages" left by people who have since changed their email address. There is no way to follow-up with them; even if you post an online response, RootsWeb sends a notice to their now-defunct email address. If you have changed your address since posting to RootsWeb, go to their “Address Change Help Page” at http://helpdesk.rootsweb.com/addresses/ to notify RootsWeb and have all your queries automatically updated to your new email address. Many online genealogists us use a free “throw-away” email address from Yahoo.com, HotMail.com, or MyFamily.com to provide a contact for online postings. When spam ultimately (and inevitably) renders this email address unmanageable, just get a new one and re-notify RootsWeb of the change. Conserve your “real” email address for family and trusted friends.
I'm just glad that you could use the information. It turned out NOT to be my family after all, and thought someone else could use it.
