Sickinger, age 67, Ringle, died on Friday, October 3, 2003 at Community Health Care Wausau Hospital. She was born on September 13, 1936 in Iron Mountain, MI, the daughter of the late Joseph and Dolores (Shallow) Sippl. She married George Sickinger. Lois was a substitute teacher for many years and then retired in June 2001 from Wausau Childcare. She loved flowers and gardening and also worked part-time at County Market Floral, Wausau. Lois loved traveling with her friends. She was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church, Aniwa, and its Christian Mothers Society and was also a former Catechism teacher. Survivors include four children, Michael (Cindy) Sickinger, Aniwa, Patrick (Mary) Sickinger, Aniwa, Jane (Edward) Schwede Jr., Wausau, Andrew Sickinger, Aniwa; five grandchildren, Jessica (Brad) Sickinger, Shannon Sickinger, Sarah Sickinger, Jeffrey Sickinger, Tiffani Schwede; two great grandchildren, Trinity and Xianna; nine brothers and sisters, Glen (Margaret) Sippl, Arnold, Maryland, MaryAnn Sippl, Sister Bay, David (Sandy) Sippl, Wisconsin Rapids, Richard (Bonnie) Sippl, Mequon, George (Carolyn) Sippl, Waukesha, Jerome (Karen) Sippl, Aniwa, James (Linda) Sippl, Schofield, Daniel (Sue) Sippl, Eau Claire, Larry (Laura) Sippl, Aniwa; a special friend, Mary Ann Kloppedal, Sun Prairie and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a niece Kelly Sippl. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10AM on Tuesday, October 7, 2003 at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Aniwa. The Rev. Everard Scesney O.F.M. will officiate. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call on Monday from 4PM to 8PM at the Schmidt-Schulta Funeral Home, Birnamwood and again on Tuesday from 9AM until the time of services at the church.
