He was born June 12, 1880 in Austria, the son of the late Mike Sippl. Frank was united in marriage to Barbara Resch. She preceded him in death on November 23, 1954. Survivors include two sons, Joe (Dolores) Sippl and Ed (Jeanette) Sippl, all of Birnamwood; four daughters, Mary (Frank) Beran, Aniwa, Bertha (Lawrence) Schmidt, Kimberly, Irene Kriha, Birnamwood and Ann (Wilfred) Traska, Wausau; one sister, Mary Umhoefer, Wausau; two brothers, Edward Sippl, Schofield and John Sippl, Wausau; 38 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren. In addition to his wife and parents, Frank was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Helen Kriha and a son, William Sippl. Funeral services were held May 21, 1971 at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Aniwa. The Rev. Arnold Schmidt officiated. Interment was in the parish cemetery.
