Korbisch, age 78, Birnamwood, died Friday, April 10, 2009 at Langlade Hospital, Antigo. She was born on January 22, 1931 in Shawano, the daughter of the late Edward W. and Katherine (Eckardt) Hable. On October 4, 1949, she was united in marriage to Joseph F. Korbisch in Aniwa. He preceded her in death on August 16, 1990. Joseph and Lorraine farmed in the town of Aniwa for many years. She enjoyed playing cards, cooking and walks in the country but especially loved spending time with her family. She is survived by three daughters; Judy (Kim) Berger, Mattoon, Katie (Terry) Waldvogel and Donna (Brian) Wakefield, all of Birnamwood; 10 sons; Ron (Sue) Korbisch, Appleton, Harry (Sue) Korbisch, Birnamwood, Joseph (Donna) Korbisch, Eland, Steven Korbisch, Lake, Arkansas, John (Elsie) Korbisch, Slinger, Louie Korbisch, Wausau, Leo (Debra) Korbisch, Gerhardt (Special friend Trevie) Korbisch, Raymond (Tracy) Korbisch, and Tony (Theresa) Korbisch all of Birnamwood; 35 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, 6 step-grandchildren, 10 step-great-grandchildren, two sisters; Agnes Prelipp, Wittenberg and Alice Farrell, Birnamwood and one brother, Frank (Irma) Hable, Birnamwood. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Edward; two grandsons, Kevin and Thomas and one brother Jacob. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30am on Tuesday, April 14, 2009 at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Aniwa. Rev. Everard Scesney O.F.M. will officiate. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday from 4pm until 8pm at Schmidt-Schulta Funeral Home, Birnamwood and on Tuesday from 9:30am until the time of services at the church. There will be a Parish Prayer Service at 7pm on Monday at the funeral home. The family guestbook and online condolences are available at schmidtschulta.com.
