He was born July 7, 1916 in Oshkosh, the son of the late Joseph Kriha and Theresa (Youngbauer) Kriha. Joseph was united in marriage to Irene Sippl. She survives. In addition to his wife and mother, survivors include three daughters, Jeanne (DeWaine) Schultz, Birnamwood, Joanne Kriha and Kathy Kriha, both at home; one son, Jim Kriha, at home; one sister, Mary (John) Klement, Marinette; and one brother, John Kriha, Antigo. Joseph was preceded in death by his father and one daughter, Helen. Funeral services were held February 15, 1971 at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Aniwa. The Rev. Donald Laux officiated.
