She was born October 2, 1912 in Aniwa, the daughter of the late Albert and Emma (Novak) Wilhelm. On June 20, 1934 Cecilia was united in marriage to George Damitz in Aniwa. He preceded her in death on February 15, 1977. Survivors include five sons, John (Diana) Damitz, Wausau, Kenneth (Tessy) Damitz, Aniwa, Joseph Damitz, Schofield, James (Susan) Damitz, Aniwa and George (Lou Anne) Damitz, McGregor, TX; five daughters, Patricia Damitz, Aniwa, Ann Damitz, McGregor, TX, Claire (Norbert) Martzahl, Aniwa, Marian (Richard) Meidl, Whitelaw, WI and Barbara (John) Mullins, Indianapolis, IN; seven grandchildren and three step-grandchildren. Funeral services were held March 27, 1995 at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Aniwa. The Rev. Everard Scesney, OFM officiated. Interment was in the parish cemetery.
