He was born November 27, 1894 in Wisconsin, the son of the late Henry and Helen (Packard) Kautza. Charles was united in marriage to Etta Arnold. She survives. In addition to his wife, survivors include two sons, Edwin (June) Kautza and George Kautza, all of town of Plover; one daughter, Ethel (Eric) Aschbrenner, town of Harrison; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Matthew Kautza, Milwaukee and Louis Kautza, Wausau; and four sisters, Minnie Sippl, Wausau, Louise Arnold, Germantown, Adalia Bauer, Wausau and Anna Steinke, Milwaukee. Charles was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Betty Jean and a granddaughter, Margret Ann. Funeral services were held January 3, 1963 at Kopitzke Funeral Home, Birnamwood. The Rev.
