She was born April 25, 1895 in Marion, WI the daughter of the late Ferdinand and Tena (Ebert) Schmidt. In 1913 Lillian was united in marriage to Charles Fuchs in Marion. He preceded her in death on December 17, 1965. Survivors include two daughters, Gretchen (Howard) Kusserow, Denver, CO and Betty Jane (Calvin) Jump, Bella Vista, Arkansas; one brother, Edwin Smith, St. Petersburg, FL; three grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held November 10, 1984 at Schmidt-Schulta Funeral Home, Birnamwood. The Rev. Theodore Engstrom officiated. Interment was in Greenleaf Cemetery, Marion.
