He was born October 11, 1891 in Aniwa, the son of the late Joseph and Catherine (Kerschbaum) Korbisch. On May 6, 1919 Joseph was united in marriage to Barbara Rank in Aniwa. She survives. In addition to his wife, survivors include four sons, Joseph (Lorraine), Frank (Margaret) and Charles, all of Birnamwood and William, North Charleston, SC; seven daughters, Barbara Korbisch, Boca Raton, FL, Anne Martis, Milwaukee, Rosella (Robert) Toney, St. Paul Park, MN, Caroline (Harry) Fronek, Antigo, Marcella Lenzner, Homme Home, Wittenberg, Katherine Resch and Alice (George) Lex, all of Antigo; grandchildren; one sister, Ida Korbisch, Homme Home, Wittenberg and two brothers, Anton Korbisch, Birnamwood and Charles Korbisch, Oshkosh. Joseph was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Louie Korbisch. Funeral services were held October 15, 1960 at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Aniwa. The Rev. Leo Schmitt officiated.
