He was born January 23, 1881 in Germany, the son of the late John Kopp. John was married to Lucy Wolf in Aniwa. She preceded him in death on July 14, 1977. John is survived by one brother, Louis Kopp, Tigerton. In addition to his wife and parents, John was preceded in death by five sisters. Funeral services were held May 27, 1979 at Schmidt-Schulta Funeral Home, Birnamwood. The Rev. Perm Gustafson officiated. Interment was in Woodlawn Cemetery, Mattoon.
