She was born July 6, 1903 in Bowler, the daughter of the late Herman and Marie (Miller) Kolpack. On October 18, 1924 Frances was united in marriage to Hiram Carley in Bowler. He preceded her in death on February 18, 1970. Survivors include one son, Merlyn "Bob" (Mary) Carley, Bowler; one daughter, Carla (Lee) Krueger, Green Bay; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Marie Van der Veren, Homme Home, Wittenberg and Carolyn Mackay, Shawano; and one sister-in-law, Mercedes (Kolburn) Helgeson, Shawano. In addition to her parents and husband, Frances was preceded in death by three brothers, Edward, Alex, and Herman and six sisters, Florina, Helen, Agnes, Hilda, Isabell and Leona. Funeral services were held May 31, 1990 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Bowler. The Rev. Thomas Myhre officiated. Interment was in Evergreen Cemetery, town of Almon.
