He was born February 2, 1921 in the town of Aniwa, the son of the late Joseph and Barbara (Rank) Korbisch. On October 4, 1949 Joseph was united in marriage to Lorraine Hable in Aniwa. She survives. Joseph was a U.S. Navy Veteran serving during World War II. In addition to his wife, survivors include three daughters, Judith (Kim) Berger, Mattoon, Catherine (Terry) Waldvogel and Donna (Kurt) Opper, all of Birnamwood; 11 sons, Ronald Korbisch, Neenah, Harry Korbisch, Aniwa, Joseph (Donna) Korbisch, Aniwa, Stephen Korbisch, Oshkosh, Edward Korbisch, Schofield, John Korbisch, Antigo, Louis "Andy" (Lori) Korbisch, Deerbrook, Leo (Debra) Korbisch, Birnamwood, Gerhardt (Rhonda) Korbisch, Aniwa, Raymond Korbisch & Anton Korbisch, both of Birnamwood; 29 grandchildren; three brothers, Frank (Margaret) Korbisch and Charles Korbisch, all of Birnamwood and William Korbisch, Charleston, SC; seven sisters, Barbara Korbisch, Delray Beach, FL, Anna (Edward) Wells, Milwaukee, Rosella Toney, St. Paul, MN, Caroline (Harry) Fronek, Antigo, Marcella Lenzner, Homme Home of Wittenberg, Katherine Resch & Alice (George) Lex, all of Antigo. Joseph was preceded in death by his parents and one grandson. Funeral services were held August 20, 1990 at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Aniwa. The Rev. Donald Laux and Rev. John Hephner officiated.
