Fuchs Dates: Death date: December 17, 1965 Obituary: Charles G. Fuchs, age 78, Eland, died December 17, 1965 at the Homme Home of Wittenberg. He was born August 14, 1887 in New Castle, WI, the son of the late Jacob and Margaret (Schmidt) Fuchs. In 1913 Charles was united in marriage to Lillian Smith. She survives. In addition to his wife, survivors include 2 daughters, Gretchen (Howard) Kusserow and Betty Jane (Calvin) Jump; 3 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and 1 sister, Minnie Laughlin. Charles was preceded in death by his parents, 1 sister and 1 brother. Funeral services were held December 19, 1965 at the Homme Home Chapel, Wittenberg. The Rev. Leon Knitt officiated.
