He was born January 31, 1877 in Germany, the son of the late Edward and Mary (Bay) Wolf. On January 22, 1902 John was united in marriage to Anna Heinzl in Aniwa. She survives. In addition to his wife, survivors include one daughter, Anna Hoffman, Oshkosh; four sons, John Wolf, Oshkosh, Walter (Ann) Wolf, Aniwa, Edward Wolf, Oshkosh and Joseph (Avis) Wolf, Aniwa; eight grandchildren; four brothers, Edward (Louise) Wolf, Fred (Martha) Wolf and William Wolf and Godfred Wolf, all of Aniwa; and two sisters, Lucy (John) Kopp and Anna (Michael) Huebl, both of Aniwa. Funeral services were held October 8, 1951 at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Aniwa. The Rev. Henry Kuhl officiated. Interment was in the parish cemetery.
