He was born July 29, 1909 in Aniwa, the son of the late Frank and Barbara (Resch) Sippl. On October 2, 1934 Joseph was united in marriage to Dolores Shallow in Antigo. She survives. In addition to his wife, survivors include eight sons, Glen Sippl, Arnold, MD, David Sippl, Wisconsin Rapids, Richard Sippl, Mequon, George Sippl, Glendale, James Sippl, Schofield, Jerome Sippl, Aniwa, Daniel Sippl, Eau Claire and Lawrence Sippl, Aniwa; two daughters, Lois (George) Sickinger, Aniwa and Mary Ann (Edward) Alft, Wisconsin Rapids; one brother, Edward (Jeanette) Sippl, Birnamwood; four sisters, Mary Beran, Antigo, Bertha Schmidt, Kimberly, Irene Kriha, Birnamwood and Ann (Wilfred) Traska, Wausau; 25 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Joseph was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, William Sippl, and one grandchild. Funeral services were held January 6, 1988 at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Aniwa. The Rev.
