Kriewaldt Arthur G. Kriewaldt, age 88 of the Town of Richmond, passed away Thursday, June 18, 2009 in Neenah. Born February 22, 1921 in Shawano, he was the son of the late John E. and Eva M. (Geith) Kriewaldt. On Sept. 21, 1942 he enlisted with the United States Army and served his country for three years during World War II. On May 25, 1943 he was united in marriage to Ruth Bublitz in New Mexico. After his honorary discharge from service, Art worked as a cheese maker for 35 years and was a member of the Shawano County Cheese Makers Association. He also served on the Wisconsin Utility Investors Board and was past Chairman and Supervisor for the Town of Richmond. Art was a lifelong member of St. Jakobi Lutheran Church, a member of the Shawano American Legion Post #117, and the N.R.A. In his younger years, Art was an avid hunter. Art is survived by: two sons, John of Riverton, WY, Arthur of Appleton, daughter, Linda (Michael) Yde of River Ralls; three grandchildren, Amy (John) Muttart of Larsen, Samantha Keyes of River Falls, SFC Michael (Sabrina) Kriewaldt of Clarksville, TN; and seven great-grandchildren, Sabrina, Sierra and Mason Keyes, Emma Muttart, and Miguel, Marie and Marcos Kriewaldt. He is further survived by: brother, Irvin Kriewaldt of Langlade; sister, Ida Beltz of Shawano; sister-in-law, Mary Jane Bublitz of Green Bay; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Art was preceded in death by: granddaughter, Jill Hoffmyier; and his parents. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 20, 2009 at the St. Jakobi Lutheran Church in the Town of Richmond with the Rev. Travis Kleinschmidt officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Military Rites conducted by the Shawano American Legion Post #117. Family and friends may call at the church on Saturday after 9 a.m. until the time of the service.
